S.A.F.E. is about Safety, Quality & Teamwork
Our S.A.F.E. program includes a number of important functions including performance measurement, advanced training and certification, employee engagement and culture programs as well as new employee mentoring.
Mentorship: Team members helping team members!
Team members with 2 months or 10 years of experience can help to mentor others. Mentoring is simple. It can be asking a new employee to work alongside of you, introducing new employees to other, offering encouragement, asking a new employee to join your table at lunch or even helping offer tips and tricks on safety, workflow or even PPE use!
What do I get for being a Mentor?
Team members engaged in mentoring submit photos to HR of themselves with new employees. In the email they provide a short description of the activity they engaged in, such as "had Angela join me and Louis Vargas for lunch today." Each line tracks retention and the team that meets their retention goal every 90 days shares a retention bonus for each employee that hits that 90 day goal. The team that submits the most 'Mentor Proof Pics' each 90 days shares another bonus prize as well!
Team members helping team members begins on Orientation Day and continues making team members feel welcome and part of the team during job immersion and later with helping with tips and tricks to ensure that the first 90 days of employment are enjoyable, safe and rewarding.
